What we store, and why.

Short version: very little, only to make your account work, and it is never shared or sold. Updated 2026-10-05.

Without an account

You can use everything on Bush Turkey without signing up. Your lists are kept in your own browser (local storage) and never leave your device unless you share a link. A share link holds the list itself inside the link, so it goes only to whoever you send it to.

With an account

• Your name and email, so the account is yours and, once email sign-in is on, so we can send you a sign-in or confirmation link. We don't send newsletters or marketing.
• Your passkey's public key. Your fingerprint, face or phone PIN never leaves your device; the site only ever sees a public key that proves it's you.
• Your lists, so they sync between your devices.
• A sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 180 days. It is the only cookie the site sets, and there are no tracking or advertising cookies.

Where it lives

The site and its database run on Cloudflare. Like any website host, Cloudflare handles your requests (including your IP address) to deliver pages and keep the site safe from attacks. Bush Turkey has no ads, no analytics trackers and no third-party scripts beyond Google Fonts for the typefaces.

Sharing and selling

Nothing you store here is shared, sold or used for advertising. The open data on this site is about products (colours, slabs, boards and tiles), never about people.

Deleting it

Sign in, open your account and press Delete my account. Your name, email, passkeys and synced lists are removed straight away. Lists saved in your browser stay there until you clear them.
